K took care of the kids all day on Saturday.

I had to work in the morning, but for the most part enjoyed an unexpected day of leisure.
I wondered what I had done to earn my freedom.
Oh, right.
I got all nekkid.
When the kids went to bed, I asked,"So, K... If I were to git busy with your bad self again tonight, would you take care of the short people again all day on Sunday?"
He smiled wryly and said, "Well, you should definitely TEST that theory."

While the theory may work on it's principles, one must remember the number one flaw in all theories regarding us men... we have "short" memories!
I have to apply the same reward this weekend as compensation to my husband who's attending an all-day native plant conference with me on Saturday. It's the least I can do, considering.
I would totally test that theory, and I don't have rugrats.

Here's to gittin busy! We did so much this morning, and walked out into the living room to find the girl happily watching elmo in her pajamas and somehow, her winter hat.

How do you think MOST mothers earn those beloved yard passes! You think that is bad! Imagine all the "bill paying" I have had to do in waiting for Mr. Mayhem's big "V"! He already emailed me at work today to remind me that tonight would be the last night we could "do something" for a week. (His surgery is tomorrow.)

Oh, the multiple joys!
Did I ever tell you about the "arrangement" I have with Husband? Two days a week, he works from home. On those days, he gets up with the kids, fixes them breakfast, packs lunch, gets Diminutive One on the bus, and takes Pre-Pubescent to school for intramurals...while I sleep until his lunch time (11:00). At which point, he does not eat lunch.
They are simple creatures...Lucky for us. ;?)
If I said that such behavior resulted in there being more money deposited into our account would that make me a ...you know...whore?
