A Pox on the House of Joy

The Rooster is recovering well.

I am awfully grateful for all the comments yesterday. Truly.

Can't come out to play today though because --

The Mayor threw up all night and I also spent a good part of the night clutching my stomach on the bathroom floor.

I am
only barely sitting up right now.

Bleaaaaahhh.

Nice. Truly nice. That's stuff's been hitting my office pretty hard but so far I've avoided it. I have an industrial size can of Lysol and a big bottle of Purell at my desk and I'm not afraid to use 'em!

Get better, Oh House O' Joy!!

Here's to a speedy recovery. Seems as if everyone got sick over the past 5 days (including me). Hope you feel well soon.

Sounds like it's time for the "BRAT" diet over at the House de Joy? Yum.

I do hope you and The Mayor feel well soon! Take care.

Icky! If it is any consolation, I have heard that this passes quickly. So, that means that tomorrow you'll be back to your little 'ol self!

Sending chicken soup . . . and bleach.

Your post title could so be sung to "There's a Spy in the House of Love," a great song by Animal Logic. I will always hear those lyrics wrong from now on.

Hope you are all better soon!

Let me know if I can bring you anything. I promise to show up in a Haz Mat suit...

I read your post yesterday about the Rooster and I must say I truly loved it. I just get discouraged about commenting when I see anything over 30 comments! I figure I'll just blend in anyway.

But I wanted to say I'm glad to hear she is doing better and I hope you and the Mayor feel better!!!

Is that sympathy sick, both ate something bad, or the codine?
Hope you are both better soon. Bathroom floors are not fun.

That stomach virus has taken down half my girls' elementary school.

We're just sitting here in dread, waiting for it to get us. I guess I should clean the bathroom floor in preparation.

Hope you feel better soon!

Poor thing! Hope everyone feels better soon. P and I have been sick for over a week - feeling your pain, so to speak!

Mamma said...

I hope your bathroom floor is cold!

What a week!!

Hope you all feel better soon!

So that's where I got it from... Thanks a lot! ;)

Seriously, I hope you get over this quickly.

PS - this is a stomach bug, and not the after-effects of drowning your sorrows while thinking about the Rooster's tubes, right?

slouching mom said...

Aww. I'm so sorry.

All four us threw up during the course of nine days in February, nine days that were just horrendous. We had to rent a steam cleaner for our carpets, not once but TWICE.

I hope it's over quickly!

I'm right there with you.
My little one was sick last week. And Now the big one is sick.
Why can't they ever just get sick at the same time?
Hang in there.

The porcelain god is appeased, and grants you relief immediately. At least enough for a few swallows of water and a bite of cracker. Your offerings were accepted.

At least that's the word on the street.

Oh...so all this porcelain action negates the bow chicka at the house of joy, no?

oh dear. I feel your pain. Sending you healthy vibes ...
