Starrlight of Here Comes A Storm In The Form of A Girl was kind enough to recognize me with a Rockin' Girl Blogger award!
Cool! (Who doesn't like blog bling?!)
My only issue is...
I am no girl.
I will be FORTY DAYUM YEARS OLD on September 15th.
THIS September 15th.
I think it's time for me to claim the label "WOMAN" as my own.
I may have to resign myself to this one...

Wait, resign myself?
Aw, HAYULL NO.
While I'm blatantly redesigning my important blog award instead of accepting it graciously I'm-a bring my photoshop skillz.
I could go all 1940's...
I could get all artsy and do a Ted Johnson thing...
I could be a panther!
I could go all Old School Cat Woman...

Uh...before I stay up all night amusing myself with TEH PHOTOSHOP, I'd better get down to the business of spreading the love.
Lie down, Buttercup. This won't hurt a bit.
I'm going to pass the Rockin' Blogger Bloggity Bling Award on to some other Wild, Nekkid Bloganistas.
So here are some "Rockin' Bloggers" (of the female persuasion) that I've never linked to before, but do think they rock...
Mini Obs - I've been reading Nat for a long time, but most importantly, I've been LISTENING to her. She's an incredible podcaster with musical taste that is almost identical to mine. There's no need for me to investigate new music anymore. Nat finds if for me. She truly ROCKS. (In a mellow kind of way that I appreciate.)
Half of the Sky - Another woman I've been reading for a long, long time, but don't think I've every linked to before. She's an incredibly good writer and, with children older than mine, a mentor in many ways.
momomax - I'm relatively new to momomax, but there's no one that can take you along on a New York subway ride quite like she can. She's a beautiful writer and she throws in a touch of her personal style.
Mimi on the Breach - I've been reading Mimi for a while now, but don't think I've every linked to her before. She is a great writer with a flair for telling a story -- and she is not afraid to leave you hanging!
Arkie Mama - I'm relatively new to Arkie Mama, but she cracks me up. A lot.
Velveteen Mind - I'm a pretty new reader here, but this post got me hooked. You should really read it, it's an amazing story.
Mommified Me - There's something about Camikaos and her family in Portland that keeps me coming back. I think I found her, Kellyology and A Smeddling Kiss all at the same time and so somehow, the three of them are linked in my head. I say they ALL rock. (Because this is my blog, I am THE NOMINATRIX and I can do what I want.)
Two other bloggers that I have linked in my brain (for no reason that I know of) are Moosh in Indy and Poot and Cubby. Maybe it's that "Moosh" and "Poot" are such good names. (Of course, I would like the name "Poot"!) I am new to both of their sites and keep going back for more. (Even though I think I am old enough that I could have given birth to them -- if I was having children in the 9th grade.)
The Queen of the Shake Shake - I'm pretty new here too, so I don't know what Heather means by the Shake Shake. She posted photos of herself in a bathing suit so I know ain't nothing shakin' in the trunk! She is supa-fine! She wrote an amazing post about her son - you can and should check it out here.
I hereby bestow the Rockin' Blogger Award on each and every one of them. Each of them is entitled to choose any blog bling button and award it on to as many "Rockin' Bloggers" as they want.
Share the love.

You're just showing off with the different buttons.
Wow, thanks for the mention. Methinks I shall be stealing the 1940's button - very cool. And no, you could not have given birth to me, unless you were having children at the age of 11.
You rock! Thanks again for the linky love.
Can I just say that I am always thrilled when I see your picture pop up in my little sidebar thingy? So you can imagine how freakin' thrilled I am that you mentioned me.
Is it my "Victor Vito" post that hooked ya? The link went to my main page, but if so, thank you again. That was a tough one to write.
I'm afraid I'll probably be rocking the 1940's woman, too. Though old school Cat Woman looks enticing. Man, I need to learn Photoshop so I can obsessively tweak stuff into the wee hours because I just can not leave well enough alone.
Dear oh the joys. I especially love the catwoman "her name's not catgirl" award. Congrats on being rockin'!
THE NOMINATRIX NOMINATITH!!!
Ohmygosh! I am so tickled! Thanks for the award. I lurves bling! And I'm all about the catwoman. Your photoshop skillz rock!
Old style cat woman is coolest in my book, but I say that as a big fan of Batman in the 70s. :)
Gah so many links to check out. Thanks for taking the time to spread the love...I so enjoy having new places to visit.
Fabulous, fabulous choices.
Catwoman! Hands-down.
And I'm almost 40, too, so I give you permission to embrace the girliness. F the womanness...
Fear not. In retrospect, 40 was a piece of cake. We'll discuss MY age at BlogHer! :O
Dood!
I'll be fortayyy on September 4th.
We'll be the "The 40 Year Old Virgos"
Geddit? Virgos instead of virgins!

Love the catwoman version! And yeah, at 38, my girlness is wearing way thin too :P

Ok. Ignore my other comment. I now know that you use photoshop.
