“Where was the frog, Roo?” I asked. “Outside!!” she exclaimed. “Roo said that you guys saw a frog when you went out to get the paper. Where was it?” K looked puzzled for a second and then something clicked. “Rooster,” K said, "it was a little FOGGY outside.”“Mama, we went outside to get the paper and we saw a
frog!!”
I was intrigued and impressed.
[Despite being sound asleep when I received this news.]
An amphibian?
In my front yard?
[Which is nowhere near a creek.]
A frog?
We’re in the middle of a drought!!
How wondrous!!
[Oh, the vagueness of toddlers!]
She led me out to the breakfast table and K served me a plate of eggs.
[Because he is a Golden God.]“So you guys saw a frog?” I asked with uncharacteristic morning enthusiasm.
“What?” K said, clearly confused.

That is too funny.
Oy is right!!
;)
If you were to hear my daughter w/ her speech delays talk w/o a translator, you'd swear she cusses like a sailor.
Good times...
what a sweetie!
I love it! Absolutely adorable.
Same thing, different word down in my neck of the world today. I posted about it too!
Hehe. I love it when kids do that! And they go along with all of the questioning too!
This post did transport me back to my childhood though. Zoom! Just like that.
I grew up in Houston and just after the rain, we would get a bunch of frogs in our ditch. After about a week, you could scrape the dried up flattened frog bodies from the street and use them for bases in games of kickball.
I know, I'm making this about me, but you were the one that slapped me with this memory.
That is funny. I love it.
*LMAO* Even funnier considering how often I say that it's "Froggy" insteady of foggy!!!
Oh, so cute! Kids are worth having around for the entertainment value alone!
It is funny how in the mornings not only do your eyes not work right, but your ears don't either.
oh - too cute!!!
LOL!!!
How cute! I'd write that one in her baby book!
xo
LBC
Thank Jehovah it was only a fog. I was expecting something uber gross . . . like green poop or something. I'm a seriously depraved individual.
C'mon. It can't always be this funny in your house...
I'm movin' in.
Hee hee... :)
Funny! My brothers and I used to always joke that it was "froggy" out every time we had a good amount of fog.
We had a discussion this morning about bark (dog vs tree) life with kids can be very funny sometimes.
Aw man!! What a letdown! :)
Too funny!
I thought the Rooster was gearing up for a gigantic "APRIL FOOL'S"!
It's so easy to get foggy and froggy mixed up.
In the song, "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" I used to sing "then one froggy Christmas night, Santa came to say...." I was stunned when my parents finally told me it was "then one FOGGY Christmas night". I haven't been the same since.
That Rooster...TOO CUTE!
Ha. I saw 'frog' here too this morning: a grey mist rising off the giant snowbanks. Sigh. Is it spring yet?
I can't wait for the froggy weather this summer, my son loves catching them in my backyard
On the contrary. I think K and the Roo are going to be playing the Catskills.
Man I love kids.
The froggy version was MUCH more cute!!!
Awesome. I was thinking you might be watching out for the remaining nine plagues...
Ha! Briar panicked this morning at the sight of the fog, "Dad! Dad! We cannot see the road. We cannot see, we cannot go. All that air is getting up in there!"
i am embarrassed to admit that i was probably about seven (or at least old enough to remember my cringing embarrassment) when i discovered that people weren't saying it was froggy outside. duh. so i, um, feel you.
Try the veal.
Very cute! LOL
Don't forget to tip your waitress.
Do you think he can show me how to cook eggs?
Oh, perfect!!
I think they have some show openings in Boca too. You would rock.
Served...eggs....by a Golden God?
You are too too lucky, m'dear.r
Are we fighting? Because I haven't been here in awhile and can't remember why.
If we are fighting then I'm totally winning.
Bitch.
Adorable, I love it!! What's funny is when it is foggy here I alwasy say it's Froggy out.
that is to funny, keep them coming.
Cute AND close. 2 of 3 ain't bad!
How funny.
Today there is a train outside...I mean rain.
LOL! That is so cute! She sounds adorable!
Oh that's brilliant! I love it when things like that happen. Their language development is such a fasinating area.
Little foggy, little froggy, eh, same difference.....
