The storyteller came to summer school yesterday.
She told The Mayor and The Rooster the story of the wide mouthed frog, the one where the frog hops around the forest asking all the other animals what they like to eat.
[You know the one.]
After she told it, she asked all the kids what wild animal they were and what they liked to eat.
The Mayor told her he was a tiger."Oh! A Tiger!" the Storyteller said. "What do you like to eat, Mr. Tiger?"
The Mayor, taking time to think it through, didn't answer right away.
The Storyteller turned to The Rooster.
"What wild animal are you, Rooster?" she asked.
"A buffalo!" Rooster told her.
"Oooh! A buffalo! And what do you like to eat buffalo?"
The Rooster cut her eyes at her brother,
"Tigers," she said.

She is one to watch, that girl of yours.
Perfect answer...what a clever girl!
I like the cut of her jib. Or is it jig? Or neither? Too lazy to look it up; you know what I mean.
Go get 'em, Rooster.
LOVE it!
And the next story for the Storyteller will be "The Clever Rooster".
Great response!! Hee hee. My R. always tells me to roar like a lion. Then she asks, "What do lion's eat, mama?" I always respond, "Little girl's name r., of course!!" To this she bursts out giggling.
Too funny!
You really are the best story teller.
The Rooster is THE BEST! To have such sass so young.... we know where she got it!!!

Ah yes, sibling love.
What does it mean when my daughter wants to be a sea cucumber? That can't be good right?!

Well played, little sister!
Beautiful. Just beautiful!

I smell a great little fable coming on...just like Aesops.
Wow... so young, and already figured out the secret to a successful relationship! Why waste valuable time arguing, when you can just threaten to eat the contender... LOL
Loved the story...
