ROFL Revival

Way back in blog time, like two and a half years ago, Mommy Off The Record and Izzy Mom started up the ROFL awards so that once a month we could all celebrate the blog posts that made us laugh.

I think the original intent was to call out posts that made you:

a) laugh out loud; 

b) spit out your coffee; 

c) choke on your twizzlers; or 

d) fall off your chair.

[Later there was a small sect of bloggers who expanded this list to include something about sharting and computer keyboards, but what happened in Chicago stays in Chicago.]

I loved the ROFL Awards because everyone that was nominated "won" - meaning all nominated posts were published as winners for that month.

Also? The posts that were nominated were funny.

At some point, Izzy and Mommy Off the Record passed the ROFL Award responsibilities to metro mama and Chicky Chicky Baby and these two did it proud for a good, long time.

However...

For many months now, the ROFL have lain barren in a fallow field.

So I e-mailed Chicky Chicky  (who has been feelin' mighty low) and asked if they weren't ripe for a little fertilizing.

She thought they were and so I said,

"I am that sperm."

[Which leaves a WIDE OPEN SPACE for furiousball and William to talk about which came first the Chicky or the egg.]

What I'm trying to say is that Chicky Chicky Baby and I intend to breathe new life into the ROFLs.

There's a virtual ROFL revival tent going up.

Oh, Praise the Lord!

Please help us fill the tent (so to speak) by nominating a post for the September ROFL Awards.

The deadline is October 1st.

1. Pick a post from the month of September that made you laugh. 

[Please only choose original material written or developed by a blogger - i.e., not a YouTube video, cartoon, or joke circling the Net.]

2. E-mail me a link to the post that you are nominating AND a link to your blog by October 1st.

[Tania and I will send you the award button so you can share it with the blogger you've nominated.]  

3. On Friday, October 3rd, write a post on your blog about the post you nominated.

4. Send the award button code to your awardee so they can post it.  

5. Read all the funny posts for the month and enjoy!
