I washed the dinner dishes tonight while listening to the children regale their father with urgent announcements.
K was away for three days and they both had a tremendous amount to say.
Somehow they stumbled on the subject of dolphins and were reminiscing about having once sighted a lone dolphin.
This triggered another most urgent announcement from The Rooster.
"Dad!" she shouted with excitement, "when we were at the beach Marion showed us a whole SCHOOL of dolphins!"Because she emphasized the word school, I imagined her wonder at seeing not just one, but a whole group of dolphins.
The Rooster continued,
"They were swimming in a line out in the ocean but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't tell which one was the teacher."Oh, my sweet girl.

Your girl, she is a doll....
LOL! That is so cute. And, just so she doesn't feel bad, I could never tell which was the teacher, either. :)
LOL! I had a poorly little sister who, when told she just wasn't herself that day, asked 'Who am I then?'
The teacher dolphin is the one who isn't clowing around and swims with porpoise (purpose). Hah. get it...Im here all week.
Cutie-pants. I LOVE that move she's bustin'!
Just stop it. It's too cute for internet consumption because Bossy wants to smother her with real life smooches.
I love it! I also love the pose she's rocking in the picture. She shines!
That is a good one! Priceless.
That's a divine photograph!
Has she seen "Finding Nemo"?
Come on, the teacher is always at the front of the line.
Why its the one holding the little pointer thing silly.
that's my dance move
Is Rooster taking dancing lessons or starting a modern dance company? Love, Grandma Seattle. She is - but of course - adorable.
oh, the literal. I would have told her that the teacher was the one in front leading the line. :)
hahahahahhahahahaaa!!!
CHA CHAAA!!
i wish you could add audio comments, i would totally leave you a giggling comment right now. that picture is ADORABLE.
i think you've posted a pic of yourself in that very same pose...maybe in that very same leotard. :) She looks very much like you...which is to say she is adorable.
Hi,
I found your blog searching for material around family matters online and in social media, and parents who are creating a rich online legacy through the blogosphere and social networks: You definitely qualify!
I'm a new Dad and new to the blogosphere and was inspired a year ago to build a place online where I could store all things digital - so my daughter could grow up knowing who her parents were, through our digital lives, and on the flip side, so I could digitize my parents' history and life experiences before it was too late... something more of us need to think about I believe.
I am working around the concept of preserving your Digital Estate and just launched a Site I hope others will find useful and meaningful. It's called arcalife - it's private, it's about preserving your family's digital legacy and passing along digital bites through generations. I'm reaching out to bloggers like you who have families, who may have an opinion on the topic and who may be interested in checking out what we've created so far. It's free to check out - I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
Connect with me on email paul.taylor AT arcalife.com, the blog or Twitter.

Cheers.
Hahaha, only from the mouths of babes!
jazz hands!
What a lovely photo! She looks really adorable and sweet. She seems really talented too and at such a young age! This age group is a really curious one, asking about tons of things and never seeming to get enough answers. Good luck! :)
